Time really is flying by!
I know this update is way pat due, but while I have a few minutes I want to let you all know what is happening.
Mom is doing really good. She has continued to be responsive. She especially loves to have visitors and familiar faces. She can't communicate verbally at this point, but she will give you big smiles when you talk to her.
The last week has been filled with evaluations and paperwork. On Tuesday, mom was finally approved to be moved to the rehab hospital up in Charlotte NC. Her and dad are there now, getting settled.
At home, we are learning just how much mom did on a daily basis. We can not thank everyone enough for stepping in to help with whatever is needed. We have found a vehicle that will fit our family, as well as accommodate a wheelchair if that ever becomes a need. We are looking to raise funds in order to pay for it, so if you feel lead to help with this in any way, Philippi Baptist Church is collecting funds to go directly towards this cause.
Thank you again for your support during this time, are for your patience as we go through this journey. Therapy will not be quick or easy at all for mom, but I know that she has the strength and will to fight her way through this, coming out on the other side stronger than before!
